I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, or as it’s more commonly (and easily) called, the SCA. I first became involved in the SCA as a teenager, but due in part to an awkward break-up, I stopped going to meetings and events and dropped out of sight.
After 18 years or so, I decided I missed the fun of the SCA and gradually found my way back. My primary fields of interest are medieval and Renaissance dance, heraldry, and calligraphy and illumination, also known as the scribal arts. I attempt to portray a well-to-do woman living in the early 15th century in Florence, Italy. Yes, I make my own clothes, and no, they’re actually rather comfortable.
I reside within the Barony of the Cleftlands, which is part of the Middle Kingdom. I received my Award of Arms (AoA) in May of 2009, and was made a Companion of the Order of the Willow in June of 2011.
I have recently begun focusing on the scribal arts, and will be posting images of my work as I am able, but never before it is awarded to the intended recipient.
I get really wordy when I write, and I use too many commas and fringe punctuation.
